Juan M. Sánchez received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, in 2003, 2005, and 2008, respectively. He is currently a lecturer with the Applied Physics Department, University of Castilla-La Mancha, Almadén, Spain. His research interest focuses on the thermal infrared remote sensing in general and the surface-energy-flux retrieval in particular. He has published 25 papers in international journals, 5 book chapters and more than 50 conference papers. He has participated in 18 national and international projects, and he is referee in 9 international journals. In 2010 he was awarded the Norbert Gerbier-MUMM international prize by the World Meteorological Organization.
